Search & Consultation

We conduct a comprehensive search of the IP India trademark registry to check if your brand name or logo is available. This includes phonetic similarity checks, visual similarity for logos, and conflicts across relevant classes.

Class Identification

India follows the Nice Classification system with 45 classes. Choosing the right class is critical — a wrong filing could leave your brand unprotected. Our lawyers identify the correct classes based on your business activities, products, and services.

What you get: Precise class selection, explanation of coverage, and advice on multi-class filing if needed.

Application Filing (TM-A)

We prepare and electronically file Form TM-A with the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks (CGPDTM) under the Trade Marks Act, 1999. Once filed, you immediately receive a filing acknowledgement and can use the ™ symbol.

You can use ™ immediately upon filing. The application is date-stamped and you have priority from the filing date.

Examination & Registration

The Trademark Examiner reviews your application (typically within 30–90 days). If accepted, it is published in the Trade Marks Journal for 4 months for public opposition. If no opposition is filed, the trademark proceeds to registration and you receive the ® certificate.
